What is a compounding?
Compounding is the art and science of preparing personalized medications for patients. Compounded medications are made based on a practitioners prescription in which individual ingredients are mixed together in the exact strength and dosage form required by the patient. This method allows the compounding pharmacist to work with the patient and the prescriber to customize a medication to meet the patient’s specific needs.
Do you fill retail or non-compounded prescriptions?
Yes, we can fill your regular prescription for you and any family member.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, we accept many commercial insurance plans. Please let us know your insurance information and we will be glad to submit it to your plan. Please note that all insurance plan benefits vary and not all insurance companies cover compounded medications.
What is the difference between brand-name and generic medicines?
The original developer of the medicine generally manufactures the brand-name product. A manufacturer that did not originally produce the medicine generally produces a generic version. All the active ingredients in both versions are the same and generics are just as safe and effective as brand-name medicines. The primary difference is cost. Because the generic manufacturers do not have the cost of developing the brand-name medicine, they can produce it for less. Generic medicines must meet U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) guidelines before they can be sold.
Can I reorder my medicine online?

How should I take my medicine(s)?
You should take your medicine(s) as your doctor prescribes. If you need more information about taking your medicine, speak with one of our pharmacists and they will be glad to help.
How long does it take to get my medications by mail?
You should have your medications within 3-5 days depending on your location. If you need faster shipping speak with our customer service representative.
Can I transfer a prescription to Archway Apothecary?
Yes, any prescription can be transferred. Tell us the name and telephone number of the pharmacy where your prescription was last filled; we will call that pharmacy and transfer your remaining refills to our pharmacy.
How do I pay for my prescription?
We accept cash, check, and most major credit cards.
